We are a Christian community with a Quaker emphasis.
The image of God is imprinted indelibly upon every person so people are important. Christ’s love for us and the world compels us to acknowledge this supreme value of every person and life form. We seek unity without uniformity and diversity without division; choosing to believe that contrasts can enrich our life together. God wishes to lay concerns and responsibilities on all who will allow it since each is of equal importance and invited to be a minister of Truth in a given area. We are called to be especially mindful of the poor and disadvantaged around us and throughout the world.

Women are encouraged to play an equal and important role in all areas of leadership and ministry among Quakers.

Living God’s Love Through Peacemaking.
The Christian life is a rich mixture of faith and works of compassion. George Fox, founder of the Quaker movement, once wrote, “I live in the virtue of that Life which takes away the occasion for wars.” Love in word and deed must extend not only to our friends but even to our enemies. So we strive for peace by just and peaceable means.

Friends strive to approach conflict in ways that are life-affirming and that actively promote gospel non-violence.

Living by Honesty and Integrity.
A relationship with Christ will immerse us in love and truth. This will quite naturally effect our words, thoughts, and lifestyle. As we move with Christ, we become persons of integrity; honest spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually. Integrity is essential both to personal and social well-being.

Living the Inward, Spiritual Realities.
Friends emphasize as changeless and of primary importance the inward spiritual reality that Christ has come to teach his people himself. Worship to us is less a matter of rites, symbols and creeds than it is “sacramental living:” listening and speaking to God in any place, at any moment. Silence is one excellent method to this end. Prepared by silent waiting and a holy life, God will provide guidance to a group with the same clarity that God will provide guidance to individuals
